Russian Navy supplies 30,000 nationals in visit to Syrian port

Ropucha class landing ship |The Russian Navy, concerned over the fate of its personnel, has again visited Syria.

Western diplomats said the Russian Navy ships were believed to have transferred weapons for the protection of their personnel in Syria and their families.

They said some 30,000 Russian nationals were believed working in Syria, mostly in cooperation with the regime of President Bashar Assad.
