Denel Dynamics makes new moves to grow revenue

Umkhonto-R naval surface-to-air missile |As part of its strategy to grow revenue, Denel is aiming to expand into the command and control and systems integration market, in both defence and civil security areas. It is focusing mainly on the naval integration sector.

“Denel has an enviable record for the delivery of quality products, systems and support services in the aerospace and landward defence sectors,” said Jan Wessels, the Chief Executive Officer of Denel Dynamics. “We will now extend this into the maritime environments.”

Maritime security is growing in importance for South Africa and Africa, in general, with increasing demands to counter the growth of piracy in southern waters and protect the country’s marine resources along South Africa’s 2 500 km long coastline.
