13 Austrian officials suspected of corruption

Eurofighter Typhoon |Austria has recently purchased 15 destroyers “Eurofighter Typhoon” from the AeroSpace and Defense Industries Association of Europe for the total sum of € 1.7 bln.

An article published on the website of the German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung claims that at least € 70 mln from this sum were spent on bribes to various officials.

Allegedly, this money was transferred to a number of bank accounts in Austria, Lichtenstein, Malta, Switzerland and on the Island of Man.
