China dismisses reports about second aircraft carrier

The Defense Ministry has dismissed foreign media reports saying that China is building a second aircraft carrier in Shanghai and that it will be launched late this year.

Yang Yujun, a spokesman for the Defense Ministry, said "Such reports are inaccurate."

He also explained the details on an aircraft carrier formation in the future.
