Iran among greatest missile powers in the world: Official

Shahab 3A senior Iranian Defense Ministry official has stated that the Islamic Republic now ranks among the top military powers of the world in terms of missile capabilities.

Speaking at a ceremony in the southwestern city of Shahr-e Kord late on Thursday, Iranian Assistant Defense Minister Brigadier General Ali Shamshiri said that Iran is currently the fifth or sixth greatest missile power in the world.

He also noted that the Islamic Republic is in a superior position in terms of defense capabilities.
