Warship damaged by fire at Cammell Laird shipyard

[RFA Black Rover]A warship being refurbished in a Wirral shipyard was damaged after a fire broke out in one of the cabins.

Five fire engines raced to the Cammell Laird shipyard just after 9am yesterday.

Workers at the Birkenhead yard are currently refurbishing three tankers from the Ministry of Defence’s Royal Auxiliary Fleet (RFA).
