Russia delivers two frigates, aircraft carrier to India

[INS Sindhugosh (Kilo) Class]Russia can confirm the delivery of two military 11356 frigates to India this year, Head of the United Shipbuilding Corporation Roman Trotsenko announced on Friday at the DefexpoIndia 2012 exhibition.

Russia was due to deliver the first of the three frigates back in 2011 but the delivery was delayed.

“In 2012, we will deliver two 11356 frigates and an aircraft carrier, The INS Vikramaditya (formerly called Admiral Gorshkov) which is due to be delivered in December," Trotsenko said.
