Russia not in South Korea jet competition

Sukhoi PAK FA (T-50)Russian aircraft manufacturers won't compete for a contract to supply South Korea with advanced fighter aircraft, South Korean officials said.

The Korea Times newspaper reported that Russia's Sukhoi had expressed interest in the program but failed to register for a required program explanatory event.

The registration deadline was Friday.
