Indonesian Air Force expected to increase its fighter aircraft fleet

Su-30Mk2According to "The Jakarta Post", Indonesia has signed a 470 million dollar contract with Russia to purchase six Sukhoi Su-30MK2 jet fighters for the Indonesian Air Force, that will start to be delivered after 2013.

The deal was confirmed by Russian defense-industry, but the Sukhoi aircraft maker and arms exporter "Rosoboronexport" did not release any comments.

Indonesian Deputy Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said that his office had handed over the contract to "Rosoboronexport" on December 3, while another contract is still in progress.
