Second SIGMA class frigate successfully completes sea trials


Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding (DSNS) has successfully completed the sea acceptance trials (SAT) for the second SIGMA class frigate of the Royal Moroccan navy in the North Sea, the company announced Tuesday.

During the SAT, a very intensive programme was carried out in which the platforms as well as the sensor weapons and communications suite are extensively tested.

The tests were performed by representatives of the yard in close cooperation with representatives of the subcontractors, the Royal Moroccan navy and the Royal Netherlands navy.
