Russian Air Force will have 90 extra helicopters and airplanes in 2012

Su-35 FlankerColonel Vladimir Brik, Russian Defense Ministry spokesman, today announced that Russian Air Force will receive 90 new machines in 2012, including aircraft and helicopters. More details as follows.

A maximum of 10 Su-34 Fullback, around 10 Su-25SM Frogfoot, and an unknown number of Su-35S Flanker-E.

Helicopters will be more than 20, divided between Mi-28N Night Hunter of Mil, Ka-52 Alligator (the ones that will probably be on board the Mistral class aircraft carriers, currently under construction, Ed), and the "Highly modernized" Mi-35 Hind.

A further 30 Mi-8 will be added destined for the transport of troops and material, and 5 I-26 to carry heavy loads.
