Raytheon Delivers 300th APG-79 AESA Radar for Domestic and International Aircraft

AN/APG-79Raytheon Company recently delivered its 300th active electronically scanned array APG-79 radar to Boeing for integration on the U.S. Navy's F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler, including 24 AESA systems delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force for the F/A-18 Super Hornet.

"The APG-79 radar continues to deliver enhanced situational awareness for aircrews and unparalleled fighter combat proficiency for our domestic and international customers," said Mark Kula, vice president, Tactical Airborne Systems for Raytheon's Space and Airborne Systems business.

"We are extremely proud of our ability to strengthen the capabilities of the U.S. Navy and Royal Australian Air Force with the APG-79 radar's revolutionary real-time targeting."
