US, Russia To Hold First Ever Joint Exercises In 2012

Su-35 FlankerUS and Russian combat pilots will participate in their first-ever joint air force training exercise next year.

According to Aleksandr Zelin, commander of the Russian air force on Wednesday US military pilots and aircraft will fly in Russian warfare training ranges in 2012, and Russian air force units will perform similar training above the US in 2013.

Moscow's senior official said that Russian pilots will operate its top-line aircraft, either MiG-29 or Su-35 fighters during the US phase of the training.
