Medvedev congratulates fleets on National Navy Day

Dmitry MedvedevPresident of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has arrived in Baltiyisk in the Kalinigrad region to congratulate the Baltic Fleet personnel on the National Navy Day.

Mr. Medvedev emphasized the role of the navy in ensuring the country’s national security.

The VOR`s correspondent in Baltiyisk says that Mr. Medvedev stressed that fact that today the Russian Navy is going through reforming, with the Baltic Fleet being a major platform for drills performed by the navy.
