Command and Weapons Control Systems Extensions to Italian Submarines

U 212 classWith the integration of these new capabilities, Kongsberg’s command and weapons control system (MSI-90U Mk 2) for conventional submarines will be among the most advanced in the world today.

Kongsberg has signed a contract for extensions to the command and weapons control systems already under contract for delivery to the two new U212A 2nd Batch submarines under construction in Italy for the Italian Navy.

The contract was made between the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri and Kongsberg.
