Rosvertol in talks with Algeria for the supply of Mi-28NE helicopters

Mi-28 HavocThe Russian press reports that the Director General of Rosvertol, the company producing attack helicopters as arm of the State holding Russian Helicopters, Boris Slyusar stated to be in talks with Algeria for what could be the second foreign sale of Mi-28NE helicopters after the contract for the supply of 10 copies, not yet delivered, signed with Venezuela.

"A commercial proposal has already been sent and discussions will begin this year. We hope to sign a contract for delivery in 2012-2017", Slyusar said.

Mil Mi-28NE is the name of the export version of Mi-28N helicopter -the "Night" version of the twin-engine attack aircraft Mi-28- named "Night Hunter", compared to which it features innovations such as a radar positioned over the main rotor and improved vision and aim systems.
