F-35s spark potential Norwegian military reductions

Military equipment has proven to be expensive for Norway. This includes five new frigates have cost 25 billion kroner with funds to cover operation of just three, six originally five billion MTBs were behind schedule because of technical trouble and modifications, as well as mission costs and extra bombs for Operation Unified Protector.

Minister of Defence Grete Faremo has now mentioned 56 new F-35s will cost the country up to 72 billion kroner, with the whole project costing 145 billion including operation over a 30-year period.
