I read with interest the arguments, put forth in The Journal some time back, by respected but retired generals in which they created "misconceptions" that the public supposedly has on the procurement of the Joint Strike Force. They then countered these created objections with appropriate arguments.
The military appear in favour of buying these planes in spite of 2009 Defence Department documents that they wanted a "competitive process," for both the airplane and long-term maintenance contracts.
