The RAAF's top fighter pilots had their combat skills honed further in the last week, as a gruelling instructor course took place in the skies over RAAF Williamtown.
The base played host to exercise Aces South, the final air-to-air phase of a five month instructor course for F/A-18 Hornet pilots.
For the first time the course integrated new air battle management capabilities provided by the Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning and Control aircraft and took advantage of capabilities offered by the newly acquired Super Hornets.
