The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to overhaul and modify the 643-foot USS Frank Cable, a Guam-based submarine tender vessel, starting early next year, according to a solicitation notice.
The dry-dock maintenance and overhaul will start around Feb. 15 of 2012 and take approximately 120 days, according to the Military Sealift Command solicitation number N00033-11-R-7501.
The deadline for responses to the solicitation is June 3 and the ship will be available for potential contractors to inspect at Polaris Point, Guam, from April 28 to May 5.
