An inside look at Nato's £160m deep-sea search and rescue boat

DSRVWelcome to Nemo - the £160million super submarine ready to be sent around the world to prevent a repeat of the Kursk tragedy.

The Sunday Mail was given a behind-the-scenes look at the Faslane-based submarine rescue unit which can be sent anywhere in the world to help crews escape from stricken subs.

Navy commanders can pack the 27-tonne mini-submarine - codenamed Nemo - into a plane to be flown to the scene of any undersea disaster within hours.
