Ugandan army to acquire Orbiter UAVs

Orbiter UAVThe Ugandan army has signed a contract to purchase two Orbiter 2 unmanned air vehicles from Israeli manufacturer Aeronautics Defense Systems.

Offering an endurance of 3.5h, the Orbiter 2 has a 1m (3.28ft)-long fuselage and a 3m wingspan.

The design is a proven system that last year was selected by the Israeli navy for deployment from some of its combat ships.
