S. Korea to Deploy Cheon Ryong Shipborne Cruise Missile in West Sea

Sejong Daewang (KDX-3)The South Korean military is considering deploying ship-to-surface cruise missiles in the West Sea.

A government source said Monday, that the military has completed development of the Cheon Ryong missile, which has a 15-hundred kilometer precision striking range from a naval vessel.

The military is reviewing whether to deploy the missiles onboard 45-hundred ton destroyers operating in the West Sea by the end of this year.
