Indian Air Force to get US CBU-105 sensor fuzed weapon


On Dec 8, Textron Systems Corp was awarded a $257,737,338 contract which will provide for 512 sensor-fuzed weapons (Cluster Bomb Unit) CBU-105 production units and 44 training units. This contract supports foreign military sales to India.

At this time, $126,291,295 has been obligated. AAC/EBJK, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity.

CBU-105 is the Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser guidance tail kit version of CBU-97. CBU-97 is a Sensor Fuzed 1,000 pound class (450 Kg’s) non-guided CBU.
