BAE delivers weapons systems support rig

Eurofighter TyphoonBAE Systems has delivered to Britain's air force a weapons systems support rig to maintain the front-line capability of Typhoon fighter aircraft.

The formal acceptance of the WSSR) by the British air force is a significant milestone for the joint BAE-air force Typhoon aircraft team, which is marking the anniversary of the official in-service date of the Typhoon Availability Service, the company said.

"Over the past months, we have been working very closely with the (British air force) to ensure that we deliver the electronic warfare capability," Terry Butchart, BAE Systems' TAS WSSR manager, said.
