Russia conducted Friday a successful test of two submarine-launched intercontinental ballistic missiles, a defence ministry spokesman was quoted as saying by the Interfax news agency.The two Sineva (NATO identification: SS-N-23) missiles were launched by the nuclear submarine Tula from the Barents Sea towards the Kura test range on the Kamchatka peninsula in the Russian Far East.
"The warheads hit their targets at the expected time," said the spokesman.
