Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft T3 completed its first flight test on Saturday, from Seattle's Boeing Field.The plane flew for two hours and 48 minutes, allowing Boeing and U.S. Navy test pilots to perform airborne systems checks, including engine accelerations and decelerations, autopilot flight modes, and auxiliary power unit and engine shutdowns and starts, Boeing said in a news release.
The P-8A is a 737-based anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance aircraft.
