For the 10th time in 20 months, the Navy this week approved more spending on the 49-year-old USS Enterprise.With $19 million more on the way to restore the oldest flattop in the U.S. fleet, the project's total cost checks in at $636 million, 40.3 percent higher than its initial $453.3 million contract.
Every other month, the Navy has had to throw more money to fix a laundry list of unexpected problems on the aging ship that need to be repaired to prepare it for two final deployments.
