Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman will depart for the the United States early this coming week to attend the Pakistan F-16 Peace Drive I inauguration ceremony.
The ceremony takes place on October 13 at Lockheed Martin's facilities in Fort Worth, Texas and is the start phase for 18 new F-16C/D Block 52 aircraft contract which was signed between the Pakistani and the US governments on September 30, 2006.
A local source also reported that the delivery of the 26 remaining Peace Gate III/IV aircraft and the upgrade of those aircraft and the remaining F-16A/B fleet was also agreed.
