Riverfire F-111s going out in a blaze of glory
They arrived at Amberley in 1973 but soon they'll be gone.
Tonight, the world's first supersonic swing-wing fighter-bomber, the F-111, will say a fiery farewell to Brisbane when two Queensland-raised flight lieutenants, Leon "Fuzzy" Izatt and Shannon "Huddo" Hudson perform one last spectacular dump and burn in the skies above Riverfire.
These were aircraft built for warfare, but over the years they have also awed and entertained the citizens of Brisbane with their annual flyovers.

So sad. If fast jets were built merely for air shows, the F-111 would be the King!
