S. Korean president to seek military aircraft sale in Poland

T-50 Golden EagleSouth Korean President Lee Myung-bak will promote the sale of his country's supersonic trainer aircraft, the T-50, in Poland during his weeklong European trip starting Tuesday, a defense acquisition agency in Seoul said.

T-50 "Golden Eagles" are South Korea's first indigenously developed light attack aircraft, mainly built to train F-16 pilots.

During the July 7-14 tour that will also take him to Italy and Sweden, Lee plans to meet with local government officials to discuss bilateral issues, with a particular focus on drawing Poland's attention to the T-50, the agency said.
