Iran announces a year-long project to produce the first in a line of sophisticated naval vessels, ahead of a major defense exhibition. "In the coming year, the [country's] largest destroyer and submarine will be produced in Iran," Commander of the Iranian Military Major General Ataollah Salehi said, without specifying the size or class of the vessels.
The commander also unveiled plans to 'mass produce new domestically manufactured fighters', IRINN, the country's official news network, reported.
