This is the moment an RAF Tornado came within 30ft of a mid-air collision with another aircraft in the skies over Britain.
The pilot of the fighter-bomber only avoided a fatal crash by banking right at the last moment after spotting the RAF Tucano training plane about to cross his path.
The near-miss is believed to have taken place as the Tornado flew at 500mph on a training exercise just 250ft above the Vale of York, according to The Sun newspaper. A crash would almost certainly have killed all four people on board the two planes, and scattered wreckage across the countryside.
