Iran Claims Successful Test of a New Solid Fuel Missile

Iran claims its newly demonstrated solid-fuel powered ballistic missile has a range of 2,000 km. What benefits Iran can have with the new solid-fuel technology?

According to reports, Iran has apparently test-fired a new generation of surface-to-surface missile on November 12, 2008.

The Iranians claimed the missile called 'Sejil' represents a new generation of surface-to-surface missiles developed by the country's missile industry.
