CzechRep wants to join NATO early warning and control system

The Czech Defence Ministry discussed the conditions of joining NATO´s Airborne Early Warning and Control (NAEW&C) system that the country could join in 2010 at the earliest with the programme´s representatives today, Vladimir Lukovsky, from the ministry, has told CTK.

He said agreement may be reached when the negotiations continue in three months.

The Czech Republic would send to the programme military as well as civilian experts, which means that the defence industry could also participate in it, Lukovsky said.
