CLYDE Navy Contrasts

The old and the new of the Royal Navy met up on the Clyde.

HMS Edinburgh is one of the world’s most formidable warships – a Type 42 destroyer designed to incorporate fleet air defence with all the lessons learned from the Falklands Conflict.

But as she sailed up the Clyde to play her part in Glasgow’s Remembrance Day events, her officers and crew got a close-up view of the Royal Navy’s future air defence planning.
