Air Force contract for aircraft decoys

The U.S. Air Force Warner Robins Air Logistics Center has contracted Raytheon for delivery of the company's towed decoys.

Under the $24.3 million contract, Raytheon will supply the Air Force and Navy with its ALE-50 towed decoys. The decoy, used by the F-16 Falcon, B-1B Lancer and F/A-18 Hornet aircraft, is pulled behind the aircraft and acts as a target for missile threats.

Officials say Raytheon was contracted to supply 799 decoys for the Air Force and 249 for the Navy.
