Pakistan senate body for transparency in defence procurements

A Senate body on Thursday formed a sub-committee to prepare suggestions for making the country’s defence procurements more transparent.

“We have made a sub-committee that will prepare its recommendations to make the procedure for defence procurements more transparent,” Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production Chairman Nisar A Memon told reporters after the committee’s meeting at the parliament house.

He said Senator Dilawar Abbass would head the sub-committee and Rukhsana Zuberi and Professor Khursheed Ahmed would be its members.
