Saudi Arabia offers great potential for the sale of fighter aircraft and other defence equipment produced in Italy, according to one of the country's leading aeronautical manufacturers, Alenia Aeronautica.
Giovanni Bertolone, chief executive officer of Alenia told Adnkronos International (AKI) the company was also looking for other opportunities to expand its market in the Middle East.
Alenia Aeronautica, based at Pomigliano d'Arco, outside the southern city of Naples, is a subsidiary of the Italian defence giant, Finmeccanica which designs and manufactures civil and military aircraft, missiles and other products.
