Pakistan today inducted an indigenously made unmanned aerial vehicle into its air force and unveiled plans to equip pilotless aircraft with modern and lethal payloads to enhance their strike capabilities.
Speaking at the ceremony to mark the induction of the UAV system, Pakistan Air Force chief Air Chief Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed said the "acquisition of this capability will certainly contribute towards augmenting our fighting potential".
"In a future timeframe, the PAF is looking forward to equipping these unmanned aerial vehicles with the most modern and lethal payloads, thereby enhancing their capability even further," he said at the ceremony held at an operational airbase.
