Russia starts serial production of Tipchak reconnaissance UAV

Tipchak reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle has been put in series production.

It is to join Russian Ground Troops this year, ARMS-TASS learnt at the second international forum and exhibition "Unmanned Multi-Purpose Systems in the Interests of TEK [fuel and energy complex] - 2008".

The Tipchak system was developed in the Rybinsk-based [Yaroslavl Region] design bureau Luch, which is part of Vega, the head organization for designing unmanned aerial vehicles for the Russian Defence Ministry.
