Royal Navy aircraft carrier forced to dock after failing crucial tests

A multi-million pound Royal Navy aircraft carrier was last night forced to dock after failing crucial tests.

Hms Illustrious set sail from Portsmouth on January 21 for a four-month international peacekeeping mission.

But the £325million vessel, with 1,000 crew on board, docked in Dorset yesterday after a Flag Officer Sea Training report found defects.
