Exhibition on maritime defence from March 17

DOHA International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (Dimdex 2008), described as the first event of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, will be held from March 17 to 19 at the Qatar International Exhibition Centre.

The event is to showcase information on the latest warships, maritime patrol aircraft, technologies, and systems.

It will bring together senior officers from the navy and other military organisations, industrialists and policymakers.

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani are supporting this event, which is being hosted by the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF) and organised by Qatar MICE Development Institute (QMDI).
