U.S., Iran Gulf Incident - War Trade Versus Oil Trade?


U.S. Navy Face-Off with Iran Speed Boats

If Iranian missile boats come close once more to United States naval warships in the Gulf waters it could accidentally cause an immediate precautionary firing from the American ships.

Such a potential confrontation might immediately lead to a wider battle in the sensitive, critical and narrow waterway of the Gulf, known as the Strait of Hormuz.

This Strait cannot afford the huge naval presence and types of maneuvers taking place there round the year. Unlike the open seas and oceans, it is unable to host submarines, carriers, destroyers, frigates etc.
