State-of-the-art Russian sub went home

Workers at the Sevmash construction plant in Severodvinsk, Arkhangelsk Oblast, have completed the renovation of the multipurpose nuclear submarine “Pantera” (project 971).

On January 15 the ship headed towards its home base. The nuclear-powered sub has been through a dramatic repair process.

In November last year, the vessel caught fire during welding operations.
