Modernisation of India's Army is being stepped up: General Kapoor

On the eve of the Army Day, Chief of the Army Staff General Deepak Kapoor on Monday said that the modernisation of army is being stepped up with induction of Pinaka (multi barrel rocket launcher), and Brahmos missile system.

He also said that modernisation of army is an ongoing process and at the same time "we need to improve human resource potential for the Army."

General Kapoor further said that the Army is in the process of inducting Smerch, the multiple launch rocket systems soon.
