Scorpene Submarines To Be Inducted By Indian Navy In December 2012

The construction of the Scorpene class submarine has started since December 2006.

The first submarine is scheduled to be delivered in December 2012 and thereafter one each every year till December 2017.

M/s. Mazagon Dock Ltd (MDL) is at present the only defence public sector undertaking in the country undertaking construction of submarines.
