BrahMos missiles to be deployed on Indian submarines

India's submarines will be fitted with Russian-Indian designed BrahMos missiles, spokesman for the BrahMos Russian-Indian joint venture Alexander Maksichev told Interfax- AVN at the MAKS-2007 International Aerospace Show.

"India is building mostly French Scorpene class submarines. But soon the Indian Navy will have to decide about additional submarines. It is not known yet which submarines, but what is certain is that they will be fitted with BrahMos missiles," Maksichev said.
