Rolls-Royce wins contract to supply US Navy with MT30 gas turbine generators

Rolls-Royce Group PLC said it has won a contract to supply four MT30 gas turbine generator sets to the US Navy's advanced surface combatant ship.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

It said the MT30 sets will be supplied for two DDG-1000 Zumwalt Class destroyers, with deliveries of the 36 megawatt MT30 set to begin in 2009.
