IRGC issues statement on Antonov plane crash

Antonov-74The Islamic Revolution's Guard Corps (IRGC) on Monday issued a statement on the military plane which crashed at Mehrabad International Airport here this morning.

Offering condolences to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei and the Iranian nation, in particular to the bereaved families of those martyred in the crash, it said that 30 revolutionary guards along with the plane's six crew perished in the crash.

Two of the plane's passengers, both revolutionary guards, were injured and have been rushed to hospital, the statement added.
